Crude futures settle higher

NEW YORK, Nov. 1 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices edged up on Friday.

The West Texas Intermediate for December delivery went up 23 cents, or 0.33 percent, to settle at 69.49 U.S. dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for January delivery added 28 cents, or 0.4 percent, to settle at 73.1 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
