Penang hawker centres not clean

YOUR front page report about rats prompts me to comment about the much-touted Penang hawker food. True, the food is good but I often wonder if the hawker centres and places that serve such food can be more attractive and cleaner.

As someone who relocated quite recently to Penang, I find most food courts are unkept and do not have proper sanitary standards.
