WITH all eyes focused on the Paris Olympics to be held from July 26 to Aug 11, I feel that the political situation in France is of major concern.
President Emmanuel Macron’s decision to hold an election just a few weeks before the Olympics caught many by surprise. The political and social situation has been destabilised by election results where no clear winner emerged, and Macron has yet to name his prime minister. He really could have been more circumspect about calling for elections!
