Hannah keeps word by raising athletes’ salary but expects returns


KUALA LUMPUR: Podium Programme athletes received a timely shot in the arm as a new salary package was announced six months before the Paris Olympics.

Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh (pic) has announced an increase of RM700 in allowance across the board for all of them. They will also benefit from Employees Provident Fund (EPF) and Social Security Organisation (Socso) contributions.
