(Reuters) - Napoli have signed Italy defender Alessandro Buongiorno from Torino, both Serie A clubs announced on Saturday.

Italian media reported that the 25-year-old had signed a five-year deal with Antonio Conte's Napoli, with the transfer fee around 35 million euros ($38.17 million).

Buongiorno played his first match for Italy in 2023 and has won four caps. He was part of Luciano Spalletti's squad for the European Championship but remained on the bench for all four matches.
