The City Boys conquer the Klang Valley derby

PETALING JAYA: Kuala Lumpur beat Selangor 1-0 in the Super League Klang Valley derby at the Cheras Football Stadium in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday.

Despite the salary issues plaguing the City Boys, the side coached by Miroslav Kuljanac put up a spirited performance to get their second win of the season.

Kuala Lumpur got their goal in the 63rd minute when midfielder D. Kenny Pallraj stole the ball from a Selangor defender and made a pass to winger Jovan Motika, who finished it in between the legs of Selangor goalkeeper Samuel Somerville.

Kuala Lumpur moves to fourth with seven points from four matches, while Selangor remain second with nine points from five matches.
