Sailor Asnawi wins Malaysia's first medal in Asian Games


PETALING JAYA: Malaysia has won its first medal in the Asian Games after young sailor Asnawi Iqbal Adam bagged the bronze in the ILCA 4 at the Xiangshan Sailing Centre on Tuesday (Sept 26).

In eleven races, the 17-year-collected 35 points to finish third, 24 net points behind gold medallist Weka Bhanubadh of Thailand, who scored 11.

Singapore's Isaac Goh finished second with 20 points.
