(Reuters) - Brandon Paenga-Amosa will start at hooker for Australia against Scotland at Murrayfield on Sunday after Matt Faessler succumbed to a calf injury.
Faessler was selected in the team named by coach Joe Schmidt on Friday having been a standout performer in the 52-20 victory over Wales last weekend when he bagged a hat-trick of tries.
Billy Pollard will take the place of Paenga-Amosa, who earns a 19th cap, on the bench in what could be his fifth international appearance.
Paenga-Amosa's last international start was in 2021 against New Zealand.
Australia still have one more test to play in 2024 when they head to Dublin to meet Ireland on Nov. 30.
