JOHOR BARU: The vehicle entry permit (VEP) planned for foreign-registered vehicles entering Malaysia through the Causeway and Second Link here was first mooted in 2006 but the proposal was scrapped.
The Government must explain why this fee was rejected eight years ago and being revived now, said Johor Baru MP Tan Sri Shahrir Abdul Samad.
