Occupy UM remains peaceful despite losing tents

KUALA LUMPUR: The Occupy UM protest held outside the university’s KL Gate has been peaceful even as Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) officers moved in to remove tents and banners throughout the week.

Universiti Malaya (UM) Islamic Students Association president Khairol Najib Hashim said students camping outside the entrance facing Jalan Pantai Baru had been maintaining a peaceful protest, and not causing any chaos at the university.
