BEIJING: With a helmet, a small camera and a climbing stick, Cheng Yongmao, a 64-year-old Great Wall repair worker, is heading for the Jiankou section of the Great Wall early in the morning, where he and his colleagues have been carrying out repairs since April.
Located in Beijing’s suburban Huairou District, the Jiankou section is one of the most dangerous parts of the Great Wall and is known by hikers as “the wild Great Wall”.
