Thailand sets up police panel to find facts about Red Bull heir's reckless driving case

BANGKOK, July 27 (Xinhua): An ad hoc police committee has been set up at the order of Thailand's police chief Police-Geneneral Chakthip Chaijinda to find facts about a fatal, reckless driving case involving an heir of energy drink giant Red Bull.

Deputy police spokesman Pol-Col Kritsana Pattanacharoen confirmed on Monday the police chief has ordered the setting up of the 10-member police committee to find facts pertaining to the sensational case in which Vorayuth Yoovidhya was allegedly drunk and drove his Ferrari car in reckless manner, which caused the death of a policeman, Police Sgt-Maj. Wichian Klanprasert, on Sukhumvit road in Thonglor area of Bangkok in 2012.
