Border police, military personnel ambushed in Myanmar's western state


YANGON, Aug. 4 (Xinhua): Myanmar's border guard police and military personnel were attacked by Arakan Army (AA) armed group for two days, leaving casualties in Rathedaung township of Rakhine state, a military official said Tuesday.

"The members of AA fired on a border guard police force for two times on Aug 2, killing three police while the group also attacked a joint police force comprising of members of border guard police force, military and immigration department on Aug 3," said Brigadier General Zaw Min Tun, secretary of the Military True News Information Team.
