JAKARTA, Aug 30 (Xinhua): The Indonesian National Olympic Committee (locally known as KOI) has offered assistance to Japan for preparing for the upcoming Olympics in the country next year and set a target of winning gold medals in weightlifting during the world's biggest sports event.
KOI head Raja Sapta Oktohari said that the committee will send a letter to Japan about the plan to offer assistance to the country following the resignation of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, local media reported on Saturday (Aug 29).
