Laos: Ministry outlines plans to bring education to all children

VIENTIANE, Aug 31 (The Vientiane Times/ANN): The Ministry of Education and Sports’ development plan will focus on raising standards as well as strengthening the management of education in a bid to increase school enrolment and lower the dropout rate in primary and secondary schools.

The enrolment rate for children aged 5 is expected to rise from 82.7 per cent to 83 percent by 2021, while the gross school enrolment rate across the country is expected to reach 99 percent.
