Laos hopes to exit Least Developed Country list despite challenges


VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/ANN): Laos remains firmly committed to graduating from the United Nations (UN) Least Developed Country (LDC) list, despite the numerous challenges that lie ahead.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Thongphane Savanphet reiterated Laos’ commitment on Tuesday (Sept 8) when speaking during a videoconference with the United Nations Office of the High Representative for Least Developed Countries, the foreign ministry said in a press statement.
