India, China to hold 7th round of military talks on Oct 12


NEW DELHI, Oct 5 (The Statesman/ANN) - Corps commanders of India and China will hold their 7th round of talks on 12 October to discuss modalities for disengagement and de-escalation in eastern Ladakh to restore peace and tranquility in the border areas between the two countries.

The two sides are expected to review the situation in the border areas against the backdrop of a five-point consensus reached between their foreign ministers in Moscow recently on the margins of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) meeting, sources said today.
