Dengue panic in Laos after more death and record cases


VIENTIANE, Oct 9 (Xinhua): The Laos Ministry of Health has urged people countrywide to remain vigilant and help control the spread of dengue fever, as the number of infected cases across the country continues to rise.

Laos has tested over 30,000 people for Covid-19 since January, but dengue fever could pose an even greater threat.

Twelve people died and 7,031 were infected by the dengue virus across Laos since January, Lao Ministry of Health reported in its press release on Thursday (Oct 8).
