Terrorist suspect with alleged ties to Indonesia's Jemaah Islamiyah arrested


JAKARTA, Nov 9 (Xinhua): Indonesia's anti-terror police have arrested a suspected terrorist with alleged ties to the Al-Qaeda-affiliated militant network Jemaah Islamiyah (JI) in the country's province of Banten, police said on Monday.

The terrorist suspect identified as 45-year-old Ahmad Zaini alias Ahyar or alias Epson was arrested along with his wife and children in Rangkasbitung, Lebak district on Sunday, the Banten police's spokesman Edy Sumardi said, adding that Zaini allegedly has a position in Jemaah Islamiyah.
