Trade counsellors abroad told to boost trust in Thai seafood

BANGKOK (The Nation/ANN): The Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) has asked Thailand’s commercial counsellors posted overseas to hasten work on ensuring confidence of Thai seafood importers about food safety.

Somdet Susomboon, DITP director-general, said importers need to be made to understand that Thai food is exported in strict compliance with international standards and rules to curb the transmission of Covid-19.
