BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (Borneo Bulletin/ANN): Golden Corporation Sdn Bhd (Golden), an established foreign direct investment (FDI) company in Brunei Darussalam, is looking at producing no less than 5,000 tonnes of shrimps this year, directly contributing to the Sultanate’s gross domestic product (GDP).

The company started in 2002 with a hatchery for shrimp and fish fry – the result of a collaboration with the Brunei government – before expanding into developing shrimp farms, fishmeal and feed mill plants. It established the first integrated seafood processing plant in Brunei Darussalam in 2012.
