Brunei paves way for 5G adoption


BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (Borneo Bulletin/ANN): Several primary initiatives have been approved in addressing 5G adoption in Brunei Darussalam, namely the formation of the National 5G Taskforce in May 2020, in addition to the pilot projects and the proof of concept for 5G technology, said Minister of Transport and Infocommunications Abdul Mutalib Mohammad Yusof.

Speaking at the Brunei Darussalam 5G Seminar at the Design and Technology Building in Anggerek Desa on Thursday (Jan 28), the minister said, “The taskforce aims to create policy and regulatory recommendations as well as initiatives to generate sustainable demand, interest and awareness of 5G.
