SINGAPORE, April 5 (dpa): Around 9,600 fines were issued in Singapore for breaches of pandemic-related restrictions over the past year, according to officials.
Over 7,000 of the penalties were because people broke "safe distancing" rules aimed at slowing the spread of the coronavirus, with around 1,800 further sanctions levied against people caught without face coverings, according to the Ministry for Sustainability and the Environment.
