Former Vietnamese minister stands trial for wrongdoings

HANOI, April 23 (Xinhua): Vu Huy Hoang, the former Minister of Industry and Trade of Vietnam, is now standing trial for duty-related wrongdoings along with nine other accomplices at the People's Court of Hanoi.

Hoang, 68, and Phan Chi Dung, 64, former head of the Light Industry Department under the ministry, were charged with "violating regulations on the management and use of state assets, causing losses and wastefulness," Vietnam News Agency reported.
