Cases of hearing loss could double by 2050, says WHO in Brunei

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, April 27 (Borneo Bulletin/ANN): The World Health Organisation (WHO) has projected that the number of people likely to have a disabling hearing loss could rise from 466 million in 2018 to 933 million by 2050.

The WHO has also estimated that 1.1 billion of the young population is at risk of hearing loss, due to recreational noise exposure.
