Beijing ‘very close’ to become first Chinese city with herd immunity: experts


BEIJING (Global Times): More than 80 per cent of Beijing residents over the age of 18 have received their first shot of Covid-19 vaccine, a move amid an accelerated national campaign that has delivered at least 400 million vaccine doses.

Experts reached by Global Times said that Beijing is very close to become the first Chinese city achieving herd immunity, however, self-protection is still needed.
