Clash leaves 5 rebels dead, soldier wounded in central Philippines


MANILA (Xinhua):The Philippine troops killed five suspected rebels in a clash in central Philippine Bohol province early Tuesday (May 25), the military said.

The military said the firefight erupted around 5:30am local time on Tuesday when troops clashed with at least 11 New People's Army (NPA) members on the outskirt of Bilar town. A soldier was wounded, the military added.
