Philippines logs 8,027 new Covid-19 cases, total rises to 1,308,352; active cases in country now tops 60,000

MANILA, June 12 (Philippines Daily Imnquirer/ANN): The Philippines' Department of Health (DOH) reported on Saturday 8,027 new Covid-19 infections, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the Southeast Asian country to 1,308,352.

The death toll climbed to 22, 652 after 145 more patients died from the viral disease, the DOH said.
