Over the years, an increasing number of wells, pipelines and facilities have reached the end of their economic life and will subsequently need to be decommissioned.

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (Borneo Bulletin/ANN): The oil and gas (O&G) industry in Brunei Darussalam has been in operation for more than 90 years since its first oil production in 1929.

“Over the years, an increasing number of wells, pipelines and facilities have reached the end of their economic life and are no longer in operation, and these assets will subsequently need to be decommissioned, ” said Minister of Energy Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Mat Suny b Mohd Hussein on Thursday (June 24).
