Ex-president Aquino dies of renal failure


FORMER Philippine President Benigno Aquino (pic), the son of two of the South-East Asian country’s democracy icons, has died in a Manila hospital of renal failure as a result of diabetes, his family said.

The 61-year-old was president of the Philippines from 2010 to 2016 and was hospitalised earlier yesterday.
