Brunei: Serial conman sent back to prison


BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, June 28 (Borneo Bulletin/ANN): A 43-year-old conman was sentenced to 40 months’ jail, for yet more offences related to cheating and misappropriation.

“Mohamad Sambari Haji Abu Bakar holds a long list of previous convictions for cheating offences, ” said Deputy Public Prosecutor Mohd Qamarul Affyian bin Abdul Rahman, in urging the court to hand down a befitting sentence in the name of public interest.
