Markets shut as pandemic continues in provinces

WITH the Covid-19 pandemic far from over, big and small markets in the provinces have shuttered their businesses to contain the spread of the virus after a number of customers and vendors tested positive.

The virus has recently forced markets to close again in Phnom Penh and now markets elsewhere are following suit, as the Ministry of Health sounds the alarm after recording nearly 1,000 new infections and between 20 and 30 deaths daily in the past month.
