Laos' Ministry of Agriculture and World Bank launch project to fight poverty by protecting landscapes


VIENTIANE, Aug 7 (Vientiane Times/ANN): The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Laos and the World Bank have launched the Landscapes and Livelihoods Project to generate jobs and income in rural areas of Laos.

The US$57 million project will promote investment in environmentally sustainable and socially-responsible forest and landscape management, and in the preservation of Laos’ natural capital.
