JAKARTA (The Jakarta Post/Asia News Network): A recent report by the Institute for Policy Analysis of Conflict (IPAC) has found that the risk of terror attacks in Indonesia – and South-East Asia more broadly – after the recent Taliban victory in Afghanistan is “fairly low” but still cause for concern.

The Jakarta-based think tank concluded in its latest assessment that terrorist attacks by al-Qaeda in the region were unlikely, at least in the short term, while noting that remnants of the dismantled Islamic State (IS) group could pose a greater threat.
