Young HK scientists win prized national grant


HONG KONG: Three young Hong Kong scientists were among 50 top national researchers awarded the 2021 Xplorer Prize, one of the nation’s highest grants for young researchers.

The three are Yao Wang, professor at the Department of Physics at the University of Hong Kong, Huang Mingxin, professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Hong Kong, and Lu Yi-chun, associate professor at the Department of Mechanical and Automation Engineering at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
