Indonesia reports only 922 new Covid-19 cases - lowest reported in more than a year; death toll is also on a downward trend


JAKARTA, Oct. 4 (Xinhua/Bloomberg): The number of Covid-19 cases in Indonesia rose by 922 in the past 24 hours to 4,220,206, with the death toll adding by 88 to 142,261, the Health Ministry reported on Monday - the lowest numbers reported in more than a year.

According to the ministry, 2,656 more recovered patients were discharged from hospitals, bringing the total number of recoveries from the pandemic in the Southeast Asian country to 4,046,891.
