Singapore's worst Covid-19 outbreak continues with another daily record


Over 83 per cent of Singapore's 5.45 million people have received two doses of coronavirus vaccine, according to the ministry, which said almost 98 per cent of the new cases confirmed over the past 28 days reported mild symptoms or none. - The Straits Times/ANN

SINGAPORE, Oct 9 (dpa): Singapore's Ministry of Health said six people died on Friday (Oct 8) due to coronavirus-related complications and almost 3,600 others tested positive, the highest number ever recorded in a day.

The fatalities mean 142 people have died in Singapore after being infected with the virus, with around half of the deaths reported during the past month.
