Russia donates 30,000 Sputnik doses


THE Health Ministry has welcomed a donation of 30,000 doses of the Sputnik Light vaccine from the Russian Embassy to assist Laos’ efforts to control the spread of Covid-19.

The Russian-made vaccine was handed over on Oct 6 by Russian Embassy staff headed by the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Laos, Vladimir Kalinin, to Health Minister Dr Bounfeng Phoummalaysith and officials from the Foreign Affairs Ministry along with other ministry officials.
