SINGAPORE (The Straits Times/Asia News Network): To promote her business as an organiser of events such as retreats, a yacht manager allowed over a dozen social media influencers on board a craft where they flouted safe distancing rules amid the pandemic last year and took part in activities without wearing masks.

Lin Pei Ju, 42, a Canadian who is a Singapore permanent resident, was fined S$7,000 (US$5,200) on Wednesday (Nov 3) after pleading guilty to one count of breaching a Covid-19 control order.
