Myanmar must release all journalists 'immediately', says UN rights chief

GENEVA, Nov 13 (AFP): The UN called on Myanmar to immediately release all detained media workers after a US journalist was slapped with an 11-year prison sentence.

"Attacks on journalists and the media further exacerbate the vulnerability of huge sections of society that rely on accurate and independent information," UN rights chief Michelle Bachelet said in a statement.
