Myanmar chides United Nations for bias and meddling after Suu Kyi conviction

YANGON, Dec 10 (Reuters): Myanmar's military government accused senior United Nations officials on Thursday night (Dec 9)of interference and making judgments based on "distorted news", days after a storm of international criticism over the jailing of deposed leader Aung San Suu Kyi.

U.N. human rights chief Michelle Bachelet was among several officials who denounce on Monday of Suu Kyi, Myanmar's elected leader who was ousted in a Feb. 1 coup.
