US extends additional P950mil aid to Philippine typhoon survivors

MANILA (Philippine Daily Inquirer/Asia News Network): The United States is sending an additional P950 million in humanitarian assistance for the survivors of Typhoon Odette (international name: Rai).

In a statement on Wednesday (Dec 29), the US Embassy in Manila said the additional assistance, which will be coursed through the US Agency for International Development (USAID), will provide food aid, water, sanitation, and hygiene programmes.
