Thai company to spend US$1bil on Lao smart city


Amata Smart and Eco City is located in northern Laos.

VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/Asia News Network): Amata Corporation, a major industrial estate developer in Thailand, plans to invest US$1 billion in the construction of the Amata Smart and Eco City in northern Laos.

The Lao government has granted a concession to the Amata Corporation Public Company to build an industrial estate on a 410-hectare site in Natuey in Luang Namtha province.
