Building Thailand’s future

Two of the country’s former ministers who backed coup leader-turned-premier Prayut Chan-o-cha launched a new political party that aims to help revive an economy battered by the pandemic.

Former finance chief and university rector Uttama Savanayana and former energy minister and businessman Sontirat Sontijirawong will unveil a new party in Bangkok called “Srang Anakot Thai”, which means “Building Thailand’s Future.” The party’s key goal is to “solve deep-rooted issues” in the country.
