Laos says China has confirmed of closure of its borders in Luang Namtha


VIENTIANE, Jan 30: China has announced the closure of international border crossings connecting it to Luang Namtha Province in Laos due to local outbreaks of Covid-19, reports Laotian Times.

According to a notice issued yesterday by the head of the Foreign Affairs Department of Luang Namtha, Mr. Siphon Kongchampa, border checkpoints between Luang Namtha, Laos, and La District, Yunnan Province, China, have been closed.
