Power blackout prolonged in Myanmar for next week from March 12-18

YANGON, March 8 (Xinhua): Long-time power cuts will happen in some areas of Myanmar for a week due to the underwater pipeline construction that affects the supply of electricity to the national grid, according to a statement released by the Ministry of Electricity and Energy (MOEE).

The ministry has said that some areas might have 24-hour power cut during the construction of the new pipeline from the Shwe offshore gas project on March 12-18.
