Myanmar's popular and veteran democracy activist Mya Aye receives two-year prison sentence on his birthday

YANGON, March 12: Veteran democracy activist Mya Aye (pic), who was arrested on the day of the military coup in February last year, was sentenced to two years in prison by a junta court on Thursday as he marked his 56th birthday, local medias in Yangon have reported.

On the social media page of his daughter Wai Hnin Pwint, she wrote that, “My father was sentenced to 2 years with Section 505 (c).” - reported Eleven Media Group/ANN.
