Laos aims to decrease number of families living in poverty


VIENTIANE, March 25 (Xinhua): The Lao government is aiming to raise another 204,360 families out of poverty during the years 2021-2025, according to a report.

If this can be achieved, it would mean that 1,168,509 families would be raised out of poverty in total, with 71,193 families still officially classified as poor and accounting for 5.74 percent of the total.
