All 132 declared dead after days of search and rescue

Beijing: All 132 people – 123 passengers and nine crew members – onboard the China Eastern Airlines jet that crashed last Monday in the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region are dead, a senior official of the Civil Aviation Administration of China said.

Despite of the intensive search and rescue operations since last Monday, there has been no sign of life at the crash site, Hu Zhenjiang, deputy head of Civil Aviation Administration of China, said at a news conference held in Wuzhou, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, on Saturday night.
