Indonesian activists call for swift implementation of sexual violence law

JAKARTA, April 17 (Jakarta Post/ANN): Following the passing of a long-awaited sexual violence bill into law earlier this week by the House of Representatives, rights groups are calling on the government to immediately prepare the implementing regulations.

Ratna Batara Munti of the Legal Aid Foundation of the Indonesian Women’s Association for Justice (LBH APIK) urged the government to immediately start a drafting process that ensures public participation.
